I have always been surrounded by art and creativity. 
Using a variety of mediums including acrylic, ink, texture agents, iridescent gels and glitters. I am passionate about creating beautiful artworks and designs. I am fascinated with make up applications and special FX and like to take my face painting and body art to the next level using a variety of products, stencils, prosthetics, and extra 'bling.

I enjoy sharing my artistry and making a difference in other people's lives. The  smile on a  painted face when it looks in a mirror is always fantastic. It is truly amazing that a bit of paint and glitter can take anyone into a happy time, an alter-ego or into the make believe...

Even during my employment as a barista or manager in cafes I found ways to keep creative, dabbling in coffee art' and beautifying every drink. I also landed a fabulous opportunity managing a props warehouse for a large event company. There I learnt about the wonderful world of events,  prop making and installation, lighting and entertainment, crew and performer recruiting, booking and management. I was "Multi task manager" :)  
I worked with the management team designing exciting components at many events including birthday parties, movie premiers, luxury car launches, art festivals and more. Whilst there I began face painting and got introduced to modern stage makeup..and I have never looked back.

I established Silver Seas Studio in 2008 when my first child was born and have been very lucky to have been involved in some great events since then, including; 
WOW (World Wearable Arts), Art n Tartan, Whangarei Racing Club's Fashion Fiesta, BodyFX Mermaid Convention, Rugby World Cup, many humble kids birthday parties, or my new favourite canvas the Baby Bump :)

Although I attend most of my bookings personally, at busy times I call upon my wonderful team of fellow face painters and make up artists to deliver outstanding results. I couldn't do what I do without the devotion and talents of these special people. You know who you are :)

I always have at least one canvas in progress, an idea waiting to mature.. I have also designed and hand painted commissioned artworks, signs and large paintings in a variety of environments and mediums.

I endeavor to be a professional artist who is ultra reliable and friendly as well as creative, unique and knows "Earth without 'art is just Eh! "
